Updated: February 16, 2013
STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY - The Paterno family is continuing their campaign to clear JoePa's name.

Jay Paterno is speaking out against the Freeh Report, he says got a lot of things wrong about his father. He has spent recent months teaching, working on an upcoming book, and doing PR for the report his family released this past Sunday. He thinks its opened people's eyes a little.

He says he and his family expected an honest assessment from the Freeh Report, but says he and his family were disappointed when they read the report. Paterno says there was no evidence backing up their conclusions and opinions.

Paterno says they didn't just set out to clear Joe Paterno's name with their report. He says they told their lawyers to hire the best people and get the truth of what happened.

Part two of this interview with Jay Paterno will air Sunday night at 11:00.

Comments

Regardless of what the Paterno's say as to why they did their "own" report it's for one reason only, to clear Joe's name. Very self serving if you ask me. Did anyone really believe that if they found any truth to the Freeh Report that they would actually report. Time to move on.
