Updated: Wednesday Night, February 13th
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

The disturbance that brought a swath of heavy snow to parts of the region has pushed off to the east. Do be careful as there will still be some slippery travel into Thursday morning. We'll be between systems on Thursday leaving us with a fairly nice day for this time of the year. We'll have a mix of clouds and sunshine. We'll have more clouds to the west where an approaching disturbance will bring the chance for sprinkles or flurries later in the day. A front will cross the area on Friday with snow showers, especially during the afternoon. Behind this front, the weekend will be windy and cold with a good deal of clouds and scattered flurries and snow showers each day. Temperatures will only rise into the 20s to near 30 on Saturday and then only into the lower 20s on Sunday despite some peeks of sunshine Sunday afternoon. Monday will start quite cold but then some sunshine will return temperatures into the 30s. The next system will then bring some rain or a wintry mix on Tuesday before another cold shot comes our way later next week.
