NEWRY, BLAIR COUTY - A police standoff had ended peacefully in Blair County.

It began around 1:30 Sunday Morning in Newry. It ended around 10:30.  A State Police SERT Unit was on scene in full gear.

State Police say Mark Wendt got into a fight with his estranged wife. And fired a gun into the house she was in.  Police surrounded Wendt's home, but he initially refused to come out.

Police finally talked him out of the house and charged him with Aggravated Assault and firing a weapon into an occupied structure.
