New Report Swaying Opinions?

STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY - Sue Paterno's letter to former PSU football players says that on Sunday, her attorneys will release a new report on their findings. A report that she says will change the perception of her late husband, and contest the findings in the Freeh report. WTAJ News
 talked to Penn State students, who are still unsure of what to make of Sue Paterno's letter,

Sue Paterno's letter questions many things, including her husband's legacy. Penn State students are reflecting on the legendary coach. And what this new report could mean for Penn State.

PSU Junior Kaitlin Mahoney, like many Penn State students are still unsure about their feelings about Joe Paterno and how the Freeh report portrayed his role in the Sandusky scandal.

"...Everyone was kind of disappointed with the original results, but it's not like a scientific thing as far as the results go, so it's hard to determine what's the truth and what's not."

Senior Grant Mueller says public perception forced Penn State's hand to act. He says morally, they should have acted on their own.

"I agree with all the sanctions because I think we should do anything we possibly can, anybody thinks we should do to fix the situation. Obviously it was Penn State's responsibility to act and they didn't, and I think they should be held accountable."

And with a report coming on Sunday, claiming to refute the Freeh report, and clear Joe Paterno's name. Mahoney says she doesn't know what to think.

"I'm really not sure if it would change my opinion, I kind of base my opinions off of who I think a person is morally..."

While Mueller says the new report could sway the national opinon of Penn State and Joe Paterno, his opinion won't waiver.

"At this point, I don't think it'll sway my opinion, I think "Joe-Pa" was a good man, who got involved in a terrible situation, could have done more. But I'm looking forward to seeing the new report and to see what it has to say."
