A new projection shows the number of Alzheimer's cases will triple by 2050. In 2010 there were nearly 5 million people living with Alzheimer's Disease, but researchers at Rush University project the number to grow to nearly 14 million by 2050.
Their study ties the expected increase to the aging baby boomer population. They estimate that half the people living with the disease will be 85 or older.
