Firefighter Injured by Falling Snow

By: Meteorologist Steve Newton
Updated: January 18, 2013
The firefighter in the video below was responding with his company to what appears to be a fire in Magadan, a city in eastern Russia on the Sea of Okhotsk. His trouble starts when an overhanging chunk of ice falls on top of him, sending him tumbling down the ladder steps

Later in the video you see he is helped to his feet by his fellow firefighter and continues his work, helping the family in the top-level unit.

Side note: I looked up where Magadan is and found out it was visited by Vice-President Henry Wallace in May of 1944. The Soviet government deceived Wallace and his naivete cost him the vice-president nomination later that year to Harry S. Truman. Several years later Wallace apologized for not understanding what was happening in the city.
