JEFFERSON AND CLEARFIELD COUNTY - It's what happens before the tip off that matters in this game.

Brockway and DuBois girl's basketball teams will once again play against eachother. Their goal is a victory off the court. The hosting school raises many for the Hahne Cancer Center. This year, Brockway made it their goal to beat DuBois' total of $15,058 raised last year.

It is the third year for the event. Laura Adams of the Hahne Cancer Center says she is amazed by the funds raised and it is heartwarming to see young adults helping to raise the money.

The funds go to help all cancer patients. With the $25,000 raised over the last two years Hahne was able to purchase a van to transport patients to and from their treatments.

"Thank you for all the support that you have given us our patients are grateful to have that transportation" said Adams.

Tip off for the JV Game is Thursday night at 6:00 and Varsity will kick off at 7:30. The game will also include multiple raffles.
