ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Friends and family of a 16 year-old boy shot and killed on the east end of Altoona are searching for answers.

Friends described Jesse McElhinney as having an infectious smile, and someone that could always find a way to make you laugh.

The 16 year old was killed in a shooting on the east end of Altoona on Wednesday night.

The detials of the shooting have yet to be released, but one friend confirmed it was McElhinney after a phone call with the 16 year-old's Aunt.

"You always want to know why and how but sometimes you don't get those answers and your left with those questions," Courtney Winters says.

"I've teared up a few times today. Everyone has teared up a few times, but they've had a ton of friends and family coming over and showing them the support and everything," Friend and neighbor Michael Alexander says.
