Enjoying The Warm Weather

HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY -  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. It's just doesn't feel like it.

"It's great because I actually hadn't gotten anything done," Hollidaysburg resident Jack Spicher says. "Tomorrow's going to be nasty cold wise so I was able to take advantage of the nice weather."

Spicher put off decorating his house early on, but decided today was as good as it was going to get.

"This is the end of it. I'm trying to get these lights up the flag pole. Not sure if I'm succeeding or not, but I'm working on it," Spicher says.

And the heat made it tougher than he expected.

"It's almost like easter, but it isn't. I'm sweating actually," Spicher says.

Not everyone used the warm weather to get work done around the house. Others used it as an opportunity to get the kids out of the house.

"We saw it was nice and figured we can't resist so we came out and let them run around alittle bit," Amy Sweeney says.

With her two young kids at her side, Amy Sweeney enjoyed not having to dress her youngsters in layers.

"Next week we might be out here in snow suits so it's nice to bring them out here in a T-shirt and just let them run around," Sweeney says.

But as nice as the day was, Sweeney knows it most likely won't last.
