Fewer Preemies in PA

The pre-term birth rate in Pennsylvania has dropped from a high of nearly 12 percent in 2006 to 11 percent in 2012. The rate of late preterm births in the state now stands at 7.7 percent.
The national prematurity rate remains at almost 12 percent, which earns the United States a "C" from the March of Dimes.
