A New Way to Fight Cancer?

Researchers at Copenhagen University say statins cut off the effect of cholesterol in cells and since cholesterol is necessary for cells to grow, limiting it seems to limit the growth of malignant cells. Scientists say more trials are needed before statins are prescribed for cancer patients.
Statins are the most common type of drug prescribed to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease.
