City of Altoona Emergency Operation Information

ALTOONA - In anticipation of the storm which may affect us Monday and Tuesday, the city of Altoona provides the following emergency operation information:

1. Keep your cell phones charged now and throughout the weekend in the event you lose land line service and power.

2. Report your power outage to Penelec. The number is 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877)

3. The city emergency operation center phone number is 814-949-2550. Please write this number down now. Also, follow the local news media to see when the emergency operation center is activated and open to take your phone calls.

4. Receive city emergency updates now and throughout the storm by e-mail and text by going to www.altoonapa.gov and registering for alerts. Look for public safety/community alerts registration in the left column on the front page of the city's website.
