ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY - Ann Romney, the wife of Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney appeared in Blair County for a private fundraising event on Monday

The gathering was expected to pay off in a big way for the Romney Campaign.  The mid-day fund-raising event drew about two hundred supporters to the Blair County Convention Center.  Organizers said they hoped to raise up to $500,000 for the Republican Presidential Campaign with the gathering.

While the private meeting with donors was closed, Ann Romney did meet with members of the news media for a series of brief interviews before the gathering.    Mrs. Romney said the campaign has a renewed interest in Pennsylvania and is ready to try and compete for the State's electoral votes.
