BROCKWAY, JEFFERSON COUNTY - For generations glass has been a staple in the Brockway community. People moved from all over the country to work in the industry.

A year ago nearly 200 people were employeed with Brockway Mould, but January 1 that number fell too 55. Then, in July the company announced due to overseas competition they would be shutting down in 90 days.

Jeff Taylor has worked at Brockway Mould for 34 years and thought this would be the first and last job he ever had, but now he and his 34 co-workers will be searching for new jobs.

He adds that it is surreal and that he does not know what Monday morning will be like, but at this time he knows it is nerve - wracking.

People in the Brockway community say they are sadden that jobs are leaving their town and they know it will have a profound impact on the area.
