UPMC Top 10 US Hospital

A new survey ranks UPMC one of the ten best hospitals in America.
The U.S. News and World Report's Annual Honor Roll of America's Best Hospital puts UPMC in the number ten spot nationwide and number one in Pennsylvania for 2012-2013.
The magazine says medical centers on the list excel across a broad spectrum of patient care, scoring at or near the top in at least six of the 16 medical specialties. This year UPMC is ranked in the top ten for nine specialties including ear, nose and throat, gasteroenterology, neurology and orthopedics.
The number one hospital for 2012 is Massachusetts General, which edged out Johns Hopkins in the top spot.
