Updated: March 4, 2013
Some area kids can get their teeth and eyes checked out for free on Friday, March 8.
The Give Kids a Smile and Vision for the Future event offers dental and vision care to  Centre County children three to 18 years old, who don't have dental or vision insurance.

Parents and caregivers have until Wednesday, March 6 to register,  by calling Centre Volunteers in Medicine at 814-231-4043.  They must have proof of income to qualify.

The one-day event is being held at Pediatric Dental Care in Port Matilda.  It's sponsored by the Centre County Drug and Alcohol Commission.
