Nationwide Sausage Recall

HARRISBURG, DAULPHIN COUNTY - Smithfield packing company is recalling 38,000 pounds of pork sausage.

That's because the sausage may contain small pieces of plastic, likely from gloves.

The US Food Safety and Inspection Service say the company discovered the problem after two consumer complaints.

The sausages were sold in 11 states including Pennsylvania.

There have been no reports of injuries.
