JENNERSTOWN, SOMERSET COUNTY--- Bruce Maust is recovering at home with his family by his side, after more than 72 hours of being out in the cold.

Maust disappeared on his snowmobile on January 27, 2013; he suffers from a rare illness that causes dementia.  When he didn't return home his family started searching for him.  He was found near Seven Springs Resort on Wednesday.

"I just want to thank everyone for helping to find me and God bless everyone," said Maust.

Maust and his family said the support was overwhelming from the community.

"The response was overwhelming, people came from all walks of life and stayed to help," said Regina Maust, Bruce's mother.

The family said volunteer firefighters played a major role in the search and the best way to thank them is to donate to your local fire department.
