Guilty of Attempted Homicide

PUNXSUTAWNEY, JEFFERSON COUNTY - On Septmeber 22, 2011 Six plus shots were heard in Punxsutawney and two men were found bleeding from bullet wounds in Cranberry Alley.

Shane Glatt ,18, and Richard White 21, both of Punxsutawney had been shot.

Police immediately had a suspect, Christopher Thornhill of Punxsutawney. Thornhill fled the scene and was later arrested in Pittsburgh. He was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and more.

Friday, November 9, 2012 Jefferson County Court Administrator, Chad Weaver states,  Thornhill was found guilty of :  1 count of attempted homicide (Glatt), 4 counts of aggravated assault (2 causing serious bodily injury, 2 causing injury with a deadly weapon), 2 counts of simple assault, 1 count of a person not to possess a firearm and receiving stolen property. 

He will be sentenced at a later time.
