New Device Fights Stroke

Surgeons now have a promising new tool to help someone who's had a stroke. The FDA has approved new type of stenting device called a Trevo. It's designed to capture the blood clot that's causing the stroke.
It has a delicate mesh that expands through the clot allowing blood to flow immediately at a time when minutes can mean the difference between life and death. Every four minutes in this country, someone dies from a stroke.
