More Than a Fourth of PA Residents Obese

The problem's most prevalent in the south and Mississippi tops the scales with an obesity rate of nearly 36 percent. Colorado has the nation's lowest rate at 21 percent.
Obesity skyrocketed between 1990 and 2010. In 1995, about 16-percent of Pennsylvanians were obese. The CDC estimates medical costs associated with obesity are about $150 billion.
