Cataract Surgery, Good for Hips

Having cataract surgery  can lead to fewer broken bones.
A  new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association finds older Americans who had the eye surgery were 16%  less likely to fracture their hip one year after the procedure.

Cataracts can impair vision and cause problems with balance and stability.
