For the first time the American Cancer Society has released new guidelines about diet and exercise for cancer survivors. They show that a healthy lifestyle can keep cancer from coming back

The American Cancer Society says regular exercise, a healthy diet, and staying at a healthy weight can keep cancer from recurring even for good.

Evidence shows a healthier lifestyle reduces the risk of recurrence and death for multiple cancers including breast, prostate, ovarian, and colo-rectal

The new guidelines even recommend exercise and careful diet during cancer treatment.

A diet high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, and fish was found to be associated with fewer cancer deaths, compared with a diet of refined grains, processed and red meats, desserts and high-fat dairy products.
