In "Fit Kids First", we salute one local YMCA who's 100 years strong in its community.
The Hollidaysburg Area YMCA recently celebrated its centennial with a big birthday party at their newly expanded facility.
This and any area YMCA are great gathering places for active and maybe some yet -to-be active kids. Y's offer programming for kids of all athletic abilities and for a variety of interests.
Volunteer Mindy Sheehan says, "It's a great place as a Mom of two - great place, safe place for kids in the area growing up in the area - provides an array of services to the area - if you haven't seen the Y, it's a great facility to check out especially since their expansion a few years back, they've been here a 100 years and hopefully a 100 more to come."
