DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Some businesses along Brady Street have been here for decades.

Ben Rossi Jewelers has been in DuBois since 1963, Jack's Dress Shop since 1952 and Hackman's Candy has been here since 1997.

In the last year and a half six new businesses have come to town. A risky move in a risky economy, but it seems to be paying off.

"Very excited that people are finding yoga because of the stress relief and the exercise benefits and very excited that people are finding us here in DuBois" said the owner of Metta Yoga, Allison Ball.

In the beginning of 2013, there was only one commercial space available along Brady Street and January 2, Nicoles Niche, a consignment shop, took the spot and opened.

"I had run a shop that was in DuBois so, I decided to relocate here along Brady Street and it's been wonderful. You get a lot of exposure" she said.

"I cannot believe how many people have found it already and I am just getting my sign up on the outside of the building and it really has been great" she said.

The businesses around her help to make DuBois a destination.

"It's wonderful to see the businesses and how everyone is filling up the spaces.
