I hope you are ready to beat the winter blues with the State College Spikes, because they have an indoor, family-oriented carnival coming your way this weekend.

David Wells, the Manager of Promotions and Public Relations dropped by the studio to give Sarah all the details.

Now in its seventh year, SpikesFest is designed to simulate all the fun of the ballpark, during the heart of winter.  The event will feature live music, performances from local entertainment groups, inflatable games, kids activities, video games, door prizes, and even appearances from the mascots!

Attendees will also have the opportunity to buy ticket packages before they go on sale on Monday, June 17th.  The Spikes will have Season Tickets and Value Plans available, along with special one-day-only ticket packages exclusive to SpikesFest.

Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase McDonald's Flex Books, and Ike's Sweetheart Package (perfect for Valentine's Day!).

Admission is free, and so is parking, but there is a charitable component to this year's event.  The Spikes will hold a silent auction of sports memorabilia and entertainment experiences, with all of the proceeds going towards Coaches vs. Cancer.

The 7th Annual SpikesFest is Sunday, February 10th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Penn State Indoor Multi-Sport Facility, right next to the Bryce Jordan Center.  Admission is free, and there is free parking available in Lot 44 South, which is near the outdoor track facility.
