Rick Santorum is concerned that the Boy Scouts of America may lift their long-standing national ban on gay scouts.

The former Pennsylvania senator and GOP presidential candidate wrote in an op-ed today that it's another attempt to "remove god from all areas of public life."

Santorum said scouting may not survive the changes in American society.

Boy Scouts of America board members are discussing the change at their annual meeting and could make an announcement this week.
