Updated: Saturday evening, February 2nd
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

Snow will taper off this evening, but not before many communities receive between a trace and 2 inches of new snow. Winter Weather Advisories are in place for Elk, Cameron, Clearfield, Cambria, and Somerset counties until 1 a.m. Sunday. Communities there will see 2-4" snow with more in isolated spots and along ridges.

Temperatures will stay in the upper teens and low 20s during the overnight hours, and there could be some flurries left over Sunday morning. Clouds may break Sunday with occasional snow and high temperatures in the 20s.

There will be a brief break Monday before another round of light snow arrives for the evening and overnight hours. Wednesday and Thursday look to be the dry days this week with high temps above freezing both days.
