Milder air will continue to filter into the region Tuesday despite a good deal of clouds and scattered showers and drizzle. The mercury will reach into the 40s near and east of I-99 with some spots to the west rising into the 50s. The rise in temperatures will continue Tuesday night into Wednesday with almost all places rising into the 50s, perhaps even to near 60, before the next front brings rain and perhaps a thunderstorm. It will also be windy ahead of the front on Wednesday. There will be a sharp change back to colder air behind this front on Thursday with highs only in the 30s with scattered snow showers. Friday and Saturday will be cold with highs in the 20s along with scattered flurries and snow showers. there is a slight chance for a steadier light snow Saturday night into Sunday but then it will stay chilly into the beginning of next week.
