Art Classes for Kids at The Learning Lamp

A series of art classes for kids is about to get underway at The Learning Lamp in Johnstown.

On today's show, Trish Dodson - one of the instructors - stops by to show off some of the projects children enrolled in the classes will be working on.
Saturday Art Classes include:
"Make a Face" - January 19th, 26th and February 2nd. Details: During these classes, children will create faces in various art forms from photo collages to burlap creations with thread/needlepoint.
"Stick a Sock in It! Puppet-Making!" -- February 16, 23, and March 2. Details: Children engage in crafting and performing with puppets using different materials, such as socks and sticks.
"Print That!" - March 9 and continue on March 16 and 23. Details: Children explore the world of printmaking, using different objects as stamps.
Additional details: All series are divided into three age groups and have corresponding times for each one.
Preschoolers and kindergarteners meet from 10:15 to 11 a.m.
Grades 1-3 are in session from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Tuition for pre-K through 3rd grade is $25.
Grades 4 and up will have an extended class from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.; tuition is $38 per student.
(Tuition includes the cost of supplies and all three sessions for each art series.)
