Updated: Friday Evening, January, 11th
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

Today was a cloudy and chilly day with occasional rain and fog. The disturbance that brought the rain will push to the east, and behind it, the rain will come to an end this evening but we will remain fairly cloudy, foggy and drizzle. Temperatures through the rest of tonight will hold nearly steady or slowly rise. The weekend will be unseasonably warm. Saturday will start off fairly foggy and drizzly but then the clouds will break for some sunshine. The sun will return earlier in areas near and west of Route 219 where some spots will reach into the 60s. It will take longer for the clouds to break farther to the east, and a few spots east of I-99 may not get out of the 40s. Sunday will be warm in most spots even though we'll have more clouds than sunshine with some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm as a front approaches from the west. This will be a slow moving front that will bring showers and perhaps a thunderstorm Sunday night. There still could be showers early Monday then the rest of the day will be mostly cloudy and not as warm with temperatures slowly drifting down through the 40s. This front will stall to our south, and a disturbance moving along it will bring some clouds and the chance for a bit of rain or snow in spots Tuesday, especially during the morning. Otherwise, it will be a chillier day with highs in the upper 30s. We'll be between systems on Wednesday with a mix of clouds and sunshine then an arctic front will cross with snow showers on Thursday. Behind that front, there will be a sharp spell of cold weather for the next upcoming weekend.
