Disappointing 2011 Snow Season for Businesses - Boost in 2012

DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Snow tires, snowmobiles, snow shovels, if "snow" is in the title having it one the ground helps move these items off the shelves.

Last winter, "Very uneventful we have salt snow blowers and shovel all left over from last year" says Ben Kohlhepp of Kohlepp's Hardware.


This year, " We want to get dumped on" said Yolie Denhertog of the Hilltop Howlers snowmobile club.

Last Wednesday their prayers were answered when 8 inches fell in DuBois.


"Up until the last week we were panicked a little bit, but this has been great the last week" adds Kohlhepp.


Another 5 fell Saturday.

"My prayers were answered" he said.

The store had the busiest week of selling snow goods in over a year.
