Dreams Go On in Blair County

Dawn shares the story of Sue Lehman, founder of "Dreams Go On" on today's Central PA Live. The therapeutic riding program now serves over 80 physically and mentally challenged horseback riders in Blair County, PA. Sue was a popular horseback riding instructor in the mid- 1990's, training numerous riders, including the late Davey Jones of the '60's music group "The Monkees". But, her days of training more riders were cut short, when she was in a very serious car accident that left her unable to walk or talk. Sue refused to give up and decided to work on living another dream. She had always wanted to start a therapeutic horseback riding program for those who were physically and mentally challenged. So she made that dream come true with "Dreams Go On".
Lessons take place on 4 separate days each week during the spring, summer and fall. Donations keep the program going, along with a dedicated group of volunteers.
