Every single homestand the Curve play in Curve, Pa. during the 2012 campaign will feature at least one fireworks display while seven of the team's homestands have multiple fireworks dates scheduled.
The 14th season of Curve baseball will open and close to the tune of fireworks as Opening Night on April 5 and the final home game of the year on August 30 will feature post-game displays. All told, 21 of the Curve's 70 home dates will be followed by an eye-dazzling fireworks show. Altoona will once again host a Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular
and the classic Sunday Night Fireworks series will return starting May 20th when the Curve take on the Erie SeaWolves.
Keeping with the tradition of the last two seasons, an additional fireworks show will take place during Ballpark Block Party 2012 on Tuesday, July 3. The Ballpark Block Party will feature live music, contests, food and offer a family-friendly environment for those wishing to start the Independence Day Weekend festivities a night early.
"Nothing excites our fans - no matter what age - quite like fireworks," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "We're pleased to once again bring plenty of opportunities for fans to enjoy them, whether it's on Opening Night, the Fourth of July, on Sunday Nights, or even a mid-week game in the summer. We can't wait to light up the nights."
