Today, Deborah showcases a member of the rodent family, a squirrel. Deb shares insightful facts with the viewers regarding the little fella. The squirrel ranges from 1oz. to 20 lbs. It is the largest species of mammals, comprising 40% of the population of mammals. The squirrel's brain is about the size of the walnut. A squirrel's teeth grow at rapid rates, which is why you see them often gnawing on tree branches and cable chords. It is their way of filing their teeth. Squirrel's can be entertaining to watch as well. When the male chases a desired female, they will often display amazing acrobatics at the top of trees as part of the pursuit.
