Dana Hardy is a 37 year old wife and mother of two in a difficult spot.  Dana has had several decades of medication and various procedures and there is no other option left for her but a heart transplant.  It started when Dana was 15 and passed out during track practice.  Her life changed forever from then on when she was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and a resulting ventricular arrhythmia. This means that she has an irregularly sized and shaped heart that puts her at risk for sudden cardiac arrest.

Dana is a brave woman who lives her life to the fullest and looks at every situation in a positive light.  The average cost for the first year of a heart transplant is nearly 800,000.  Dana doesn't want her family to struggle because of her medical conditions and therefore is hoping to raise at least 20,000 each year to help defer the cost.

Dana has already had several benefits across State College and there is one coming up tonight!  Comedian Mike Vecchione will be performing tonight at the State College Theatre.  One show is at 8 p.m. and one is at 10 p.m.  Tickets will be $20 a person and all proceeds benefit the Dana Hardy heart transplant fund.
