WTAJ-TV Launches New One-Hour Local Broadcast Called Central PA Live

ALTOONA (Blair County) -- WTAJ-TV announced that it will launch CENTRAL PA LIVE on Monday, September 12, 2011. CENTRAL PA LIVE will be the market's first one-hour live, local 4:00 p.m. daily broadcast.

CENTRAL PA LIVE will offer Central Pennsylvania viewers fresh, topical programming with a specialized focus on local lifestyle content including segments from experts on various topics ranging from health, personal finances, family and a host of community interests. CENTRAL PA LIVE will feature a fully interactive platform to connect viewers through CentralPATV.com and social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter

CENTRAL PA LIVE will be co-hosted by Patton, PA native Dawn Pellas and former KAAL-TV Senior Reporter Sarah Swistak. Sarah and Dawn will interact with viewers through social media applications allowing viewers to provide real-time input on the most recent community developments.

Ms. Pellas was most recently a reporter at News 12, New Jersey and has spent more than a decade covering the news.  Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, Ms. Pellas is thrilled to be returning to the place she considers home.  Ms. Pellas can be reached via email at dpellas@wtajtv.com.

Ms. Swistak joins the team after serving as Senior Reporter and Weekend Anchor at KAAL-TV ABC-6 in Rochester, MN, where she holds a distinguished Emmy nomination for her work as Anchor, Producer and Editor of KAAL's news. Ms. Swistak can be reached via email at sswistak@wtajtv.com.

CENTRAL PA LIVE will broadcast Monday-Friday at 4pm through production from around the Central Pennsylvania area and from the WTAJ broadcast studios in both State College and Altoona.
