If you're looking for help with your taxes this year, you're in luck! Our next guest comes to us from VITA, or the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, from the United Way of Blair County.
VITA is a joint initiative between the United Way of Blair County and the IRS. It provides free income tax assistance to low-to-moderate income people who need help preparing their tax returns. Qualifying families must make $51,000 or less, while qualifying individuals must make less than $45,000 annually.
This is the fourth year VITA has been offered to Blair County Residents.
Assistance is available, by appointment only, every Wednesday between the hours of 5:30 p.m and 8:30 p.m. from now until April 10th. Appointments will be at the United Way of Blair County Building (5414 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602).
