She, like other congressional spouses remember the actions of the passengers and crew on Flight 93 that Sept. 11th morning that may have saved her husband's life.
Mrs. Toomey and Senator Bob Casey's wife, Therese hosted this congressional tribute to drum up the support needed to finish this national park site and memorial.
According to Senator Pat Toomey, "She's quite confident as I am as anybody, but particularly members of Congress working in our nation's capital to see this memorial and what it's all about will become the kind of advocates for its completion that she has become."
National Park Service's Flight 93 National Memorial in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County still needs another $5 million to fund a learning center to educate visitors on exactly what happened on that day.
They also need funding for a tribute called the "Tower of Voices" with 40 wind chimes, one for each victim.
The goal is to have it completed in 2014.
