Man In Boy Scout Sex Files Exposed: Part 1

WTAJ spoke to a troop leader that says he knew Bagshaw, and in part one of this two part series, found that a child predator in 1984 opened a lot of eyes in central Pennsylvania.
Of those 13 counts, Bagshaw pled guilty to counts of Corruption of Minors and was sentenced to 1-3 years in prison. But when we talked to a man who says he knew him, he says a conviction of 1-3 years for a child predator, ended up impacting local scouting for years to come.
Cummins Mcnitt's been in scouting for close to 50 years. Whether it's building a fire, or running a haunted house fundraiser, he helps mold boys into men, to protect and help others, While he didn't know Bagshaw well, he remembered the name instantly.
"He was prosecuted, it had ramifications and a ripple effect that lasted a long time... It changed a lot at how we viewed child abuse in scouting."
As he sifts through the names of the abusers and molesters in the Perversion Files", one case catches his eye. Timothy bagshaw... A former Police Officer, with more than two decades in scouting.
"I remember vividly when this abuse case hit the media, and we learned about it, a lot of people woke up, and started paying closer attention and because we lived in a world of innocence, and things like this didn't happen..."
Mcnitt, says he was in Bagshaw's Boy Scout Council, and can still remember how he felt when the news broke.
"We all knew about it, we talked about it, and for Tim, I was angry, and for a while, bitter..."
Mcnitt hasn't spoken to him since.
"I have not followed him in all these years, I don't know where he is, I don't know what's going on with him, don't have a clue, but I have prayed for him over the years,.."
Michael Yeaton's a Scoutmaster in Tyrone, he says it's not easy to spot, stop, and report child molesters.
"If I knew how to catch them, prior to them getting on board, we would do it. But just like Mr. Sandusky, he was never found, he blended right in, how do you find them?"Aside from being a convicted pedophile, Bagshaw has another connection with Jerry Sandusky, court records show that both were represented by Attorney Joe Amendola. We reached out to Amendola, but he hasn't responded about this case.
