More than 400 crafts exhibitors and demonstrators will line the streets and excellent family entertainment is presented from the gazebo on the square and down by the river. Performers this year will include variety bands, The Vogues, Blue Shades, Black Coffee, deja' vu, Sugar Mountain, The Four Townsmen, The Large Flowerheads, Girlz in Black Hats, and Hounds of Soul, to name just a few. Locally grown entertainment back by popular demand includes John & Jesse Topper, A'Cappella Kinda Guys and Matt Ottis. Also appearing on stage are comedians, magicians, and much more. The entertainment is varied, but with one common thread -- it is all family entertainment.
Excellent festival foods abound at the Festival, including locally made apple cider, kettle korn, candy apples, etc. There are also many activities for kids, including scarecrow making, face painting, Middle Earth Studio's live interactive theater and Dennie Huber the Magician. Other festival highlights include a juried arts exhibit at the Arts Center on Pitt Street. The antique car parade on Saturday, October 13th at 2 p.m. is always a favorite.
Parking will be available for $7.00 at the Bedford County Fairgrounds (1/2 mile west of Bedford on Route 30) and Old Bedford Village (1 mile north of Bedford on Business Route 220). Free shuttle buses run to and from the festival area throughout the day.
The festival runs from 9 a.m. 'til 5 p.m., rain or shine. For more information about the Fall Foliage Festival, contact the Bedford County Visitors Bureau at (814)623-1771 or visit Bedford Fall Festivals website.
