Cookbook Author Anne Quinn Corr shared her recipe for stuffed nasturtiums on Central PA Live.
A nasturtium is a flower, and Anne stuffs them with a creamy mixture of cheese, garlic and herbs.
It's just one of the many recipes available in her cookbook, "The Seasons of Central PA."
Nasturtiums stuffed with Garlicky Gorgonzola Spread
Makes 1 1/2 cups
2 bulbs roasted garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup buttermilk
8 ounces cream cheese
4 ounces Gorgonzola
Nasturtium blossoms for filling.
Squeeze the garlic from the roasted cloves and place into a food processor bowl along with the rest of the ingredients. Pulse the mixture until smooth. Put filling into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip and pipe a small amount into the center of clean, dry nasturtiums.
