Even though an area of high pressure started to build into the region, it remained mostly cloudy today. There was still a touch of drizzle possible in some locations early, but then some breaks of sunshine tomorrow. Tonight will remain partly to mostly cloudy and those clouds will keep temperatures from dropping too much with lows in the middle to upper 30s. This ridge of high pressure will dominate our weather for the weekend, but once again, there will be enough moisture under the high for there to bring more clouds than sunshine. While these clouds will prevent it from getting too mild, it really will not be too bad for this time of the year. An area of low pressure is developing along the Gulf Coast will try to move up the East Coast Sunday into Monday. Right now it looks like this system will stay fairly weak and far enough to the east for us to just get some showers or drizzle later Sunday night into Monday. Behind that system, clouds will break on Tuesday, but just briefly. An approaching cold front could bring some showers later Tuesday into Wednesday. Behind that front, we'll see a trend to cooler weather as we head through the holiday weekend. Another front could bring some rain showers later Thanksgiving Day with rain or snow showers possible on Friday.
