What is the Nit Wits?
The NIT WITS television program is a weekly roundtable discussion on the Nittany Lions. The show airs during football season and takes you beyond the score -- discussing the state of the program on and off the field. It looks ahead and back, provides historical perspecitve, future glimpses and weekly predictions. The Nit Wits will satisfy the thrist of the diehard Penn State fans. The show began in 1997 with it's original panel of
Neil Rudel,
Mark Brennan,
Mike Irwin, and for his 2nd year, WTAJ Sports Director,
Nick Foley.

Welcome to the
WeAreCentralPA Bowl Patrol. Penn State just finished its season with a record of 10-2. Now, Nittany Nation knows where the Nittany Lions will be playing on January 1st.

Penn State is 26-13-2 all time in Bowl Games. Their Bowl Record under Coach Joe Paterno is 23-11-1. Last year the Nittany Lions lost to USC, 24-38, in the Rose Bowl.

Joseph Vincent Paterno (JOEPA) was born in 1926 in Brooklyn, New York. Coach Paterno has been more than a football coach, especially to the Penn State Community. He's been involved with numerous charities and fundraisers that have gone to improving Penn State.
