In 1902 Charles Wolf and partner John Fox started the City Furniture Company in downtown Altoona, PA.  In 1915 Charles Wolf bought out John Fox’s interest and built the largest furniture store between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, in Altoona.  Since then the Wolf Furniture Company has grown to nine Wolf Furniture Stores; seven in Pennsylvania and two in Maryland, plus the Wolf Furniture Clearance Outlet in Altoona.
