Reported by: Carolyn Donaldson Tuesday, Aug 18, 2009 @10:22pm EDT 12 year old Savannah and I decided to find a cool treat at the Clearfield County fair.
This soon to be 7th grader was a quick study. "It's nice on these warm days, that's for sure, "says Dan the owner of Miller's Hawaiin Ice. She even finished the first one by herself. This summer, Savannah's been enjoying swimming and reading; a lot of reading. "I've read some books. I've finished almost a whole series of books this summer and I came to the fair," says Savannah. Soon it was Savannah's turn to create her own masterpiece. Savannah would like a Big Sister to pal around with. She says it would be fun to "go swimming, read, draw, go shopping." For this Clearfield middle schooler, this summer treat is extra-cool when it's home-made. |
