ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY --- We've all heard about spring cleaning, but what about green cleaning?  That was the lesson in Blair County Thursday at a Green Cleaning Trade Show and Seminar.

No matter how much or how little you clean you could find something.  Allegheny Systems in Duncansville sponsored the event.  More than 20 vendors lined up their products at the Blair County Convention Center.

All of the cleaning products and machines for sale were environmentally friendly.  They ranged from window cleaners for your home to cleaning machines you can drive in a large building.  About 150 people came by to check out all the goodies, but you could also learn some green tips Thursday.

People from Penn State and as far as Pittsburgh taught green seminars Thursday.  One class focused on green cleaning products for schools.  You could also learn tips for cleaning your pools and cars with environmentally friendly materials.

Some of the cleaning machines were high-tech and a little pricey.  You could also pick up cheaper things such as foaming spray bottles that are more efficient.

Seminar leaders said you don't have to spend money to be green.

“Turning off the lights when you're not using them, unplugging appliances when you're not using them, and maybe using some products that aren't as damaging to the environment,” Erik Cagle suggested.  Cagle is an Altoona City Council member who also teaches green seminars.
