Wednesday, Aug 19, 2009 @11:44pm EDT (State College, PA) —The State College Spikes ran into a superb pitching effort by Brooklyn Cyclones starter Darin Gorski and fell to the team with the New-York Penn League’s top record, 6-1, on Wednesday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.A crowd of 4,993 packed the park one night after the 2009 New York-Penn League All-Star Game featured three players from State College (29-29) and six from Brooklyn. Brock Holt, who scored the final run in the All-Star Game for the National League side, started for the Spikes tonight and went hitless in three at-bats
