Thursday, Aug 6, 2009 @11:06pm EDT From Spikes reports: (State College, PA)—Evan Chambers drove in four runs and capped the State College Spikes’ scoring with a three-run homer, combining with a stellar relief effort by Tyler Cox to help power the Spikes to a 9-5 win over the Aberdeen IronBirds on Thursday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Chambers delivered the first and last runs batted in on the game for State College (24-24), going 2-for-4 with his second homer of the year and scoring three runs as well. Aaron Baker also delivered a solid performance, going 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and two runs batted in. |
