Your final decision to purchase a diamond should never be based on the information found on a diamond grading certificate alone.  Just like a Doctor would never hand you your own medical laboratory reports to interpret, diamond grading reports require a knowledgeable jewelry professional to truly understand all the information on them.

The process of diamond grading is very subjective and therefore requires high levels of training and experience to achieve acceptable levels of accuracy and consistency.  Even then, not all equally experienced graders will arrive at the same grade on the same diamond. 

Bottom line – look at the diamond before you buy it, and trust your eyes, your heart, and your professional jeweler.
